The name LA PIERRADE constitutes a valid trademark to designate cooking appliances or cooking utensils : in fact, the term PIERRADE is a neologism; according to the usual rules of vocabulary construction, the suffix ADE is used to form nouns which designate the result of an action or to form collective nouns on a nominal base; now, the verb "pierrer" expressing a way of heating or cooking does not exist; as a result, the collective sense which would be given to the noun "pierre" by the addition of a suffix would remain unlinked to the notion of heat or cooking; thus, the term "PIERRADE" does not directly and necessarily define a cooking appliance, neither does it indicate the essential quality of such an appliance and the elements of which it is made up.
